Chapter on Leftover Water – Report refuting the claim that a menstruating woman’s leftover water is impure
Hadith Number: 1293
اخبرنا عمران بن موسى بن مجاشع ، قال: حدثنا عثمان بن ابي شيبة ، قال: حدثنا وكيع ، عن مسعر ، وسفيان ، عن المقدام بن شريح ، عن ابيه ، عن عائشة ، قالت:" كنت اضع الإناء على في وانا حائض، ثم اناوله للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فيضع فاه على موضع في، وآخذ العرق وانا حائض، ثم اناوله فيضع فاه على موضع في" .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: While I was in the state of menstruation, I would place a vessel to my mouth, then I would pass it to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and he would place his blessed mouth at the same spot where I had placed my mouth. While I was in the state of menstruation, I would take a bone (with meat on it), eat from it, then pass it to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and he would place his mouth at the same spot where I had placed my mouth.
