Chapter on Leftover Water – Permission to spit into a well from which water is drawn
Hadith Number: 1292
اخبرنا ابن قتيبة ، قال: حدثنا ابن ابي السري ، قال: حدثنا عبد الرزاق ، قال: اخبرنا معمر ، عن الزهري ، عن محمود بن الربيع " انه عقل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وعقل مجة مجها من دلو في بئر في دارهم" .
Sayyiduna Mahmood bin Rabee’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I remember this about the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took water from the well present in their house with a bucket and rinsed his mouth with it.
