Relieving oneself: The reason the Prophet removed his ring when entering the toilet
Hadith Number: 1414
اخبرنا محمد بن احمد بن ابي عون ، قال: حدثنا احمد بن الحسن الترمذي ، قال: حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله الانصاري ، قال: حدثنا ابي ، عن ثمامة ، عن انس بن مالك ، قال:" كان نقش خاتم النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ثلاثة اسطر: محمد سطر، ورسول سطر، والله سطر" .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The ring of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had an inscription which was in three lines: the word "Muhammad" in one line, the word "Rasool" in one line, and the word "Allah" in one line.
