باب مواقيت الصلاة - ذكر الوقت الذي كان يستحب المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم تأخير صلاة العشاء الآخرة إليه
Chapter on Prayer Times - The time to which the Prophet preferred to delay the night prayer.
Hadith Number: 1538
اخبرنا ابو عروبة ، قال: حدثنا محمد بن بشار ، قال: حدثني يحيى القطان ، عن عبيد الله بن عمر ، عن سعيد المقبري ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " لولا ان اشق على امتي لاخرت العشاء إلى ثلث الليل" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If I did not fear hardship for my Ummah, I would have delayed the ‘Isha prayer until one third of the night had passed."
