Chapter on Mosques - Clarification that Allah builds a house in Paradise for the mosque builder according to its size.
Hadith Number: 1609
اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد بن سلم المقدسي ، حدثنا حرملة بن يحيى ، حدثنا ابن وهب ، اخبرني عمرو بن الحارث ، ان بكيرا ، حدثه ان عاصم بن عمر بن قتادة ، حدثه انه سمع عبيد الله الخولاني ، انه سمع عثمان بن عفان ، يقول: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " من بنى مسجدا، بنى الله له مثله في الجنة" . قال بكير: حسبت انه قال: يبتغي به وجه الله جل وعلا.
Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever builds a mosque, Allah Almighty builds for him a house like it in Paradise." The narrator named Bukair says: I think these words are also in the narration: "(builds a mosque) for the sake of attaining Allah Almighty's pleasure."
