Chapter on Mosques - Affirmation of reward for praying in Quba Mosque for Allah and the Hereafter.
Hadith Number: 1626
اخبرنا ابو يعلى ، حدثنا ابو خيثمة ، حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد ، عن انيس بن ابي يحيى ، حدثني ابي ، قال: سمعت ابا سعيد الخدري ، يقول: إن رجلا من بني عمرو بن عوف ورجلا من بني خدرة، امتريا في المسجد الذي اسس على التقوى، فقال الخدري: هو مسجد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وقال العمري: هو مسجد قباء، قال: فخرجا حتى جاءا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فسالاه عن ذلك، فقال: " هو هذا المسجد، مسجد رسول الله، وفي ذلك خير كثير" .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: There was a dispute between a man from Banu Amr bin Awf and a man from Banu Khudrah regarding the mosque which was founded on piety. The Khudri man said: It refers to the mosque of the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Amri man said: It refers to the mosque of Quba. The narrator states: Both of them went out and presented themselves before the Prophet (peace be upon him) and asked him about this matter. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: It refers to this mosque, it refers to the mosque of Allah’s Messenger, and there is much goodness in it.
