باب المساجد - ذكر إيذاء الله جل وعلا بمن بصق في قبلة المسجد
Chapter on Mosques - Allah’s displeasure with one who spits toward the qiblah in the mosque.
Hadith Number: 1636
اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد بن سلم ، قال: حدثنا حرملة بن يحيى ، قال: حدثنا ابن وهب ، قال: اخبرني عمرو بن الحارث ، ان بكر بن سوادة الجذامي ، حدثه عن صالح بن خيوان ، عن السائب بن خلاد ، ان رجلا ام قوما، فبصق في القبلة، ورسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ينظر إليه، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حين فرغ:" لا يصلي لكم"، فاراد بعد ذلك ان يصلي لهم، فمنعوه، واخبروه بقول رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فذكر ذلك لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال:" نعم"، وحسبت انه قال:" إنك آذيت الله" .
Sayyiduna Sa’ib bin Khallad (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man was leading his people in prayer. He spat in the direction of the qiblah. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was watching him. After he finished, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He has not led you in prayer. After that, when the man intended to lead them in prayer, the people stopped him and informed him about the statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He mentioned this to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so he said: Yes. (The narrator says) I think the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: "You have caused harm to Allah, the Exalted."
