Chapter on Mosques - Expiation for the sin of spitting in the mosque.
Hadith Number: 1637
اخبرنا ابو خليفة ، قال: حدثنا مسدد بن مسرهد ، قال: حدثنا ابو عوانة ، عن قتادة ، عن انس ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " البصاق في المسجد خطيئة، وكفارتها دفنها" .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Spitting in the mosque is a mistake, and its expiation is to bury it."
