باب الأذان - ذكر الخبر الدال على أن المؤذن يكون له كأجر من صلى بأذانه
Chapter on Adhan - Report indicating the muezzin receives the reward of those who pray due to his call.
Hadith Number: 1668
اخبرنا ابو يعلى ، حدثنا ابو خيثمة ، حدثنا محمد بن خازم ، حدثنا الاعمش ، عن ابي عمرو الشيباني ، عن ابي مسعود الانصاري، قال: اتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم رجل، فقال: يا رسول الله، إني ابدع بي، فاحملني، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" ليس عندي"، فقال رجل: انا ادله على من يحمله، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " من دل على خير، فله مثل اجر فاعله" . قال ابو حاتم: قوله ابدع بي: يريد قطع بي عن الركوب، لان رواحلي كلت وعرجت.
Sayyiduna Abu Mas’ud Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He said: O Messenger of Allah! I do not have the means for a ride. Please provide me with something for riding. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: I do not have it. A person said: I can guide him to someone who will give him an animal for riding. So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Whoever guides towards good, for him is a reward like that of the one who acts upon it.”(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The words of the narration“abda’a bi”mean that it is no longer possible for me to travel because my animals have become weak and sick.
