باب الأذان - ذكر البيان بأن قول أنس أمر بلال أراد به رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم دون غيره
Chapter on Adhan - Clarification that Anas’s statement "Bilal was ordered" refers to the Prophet’s command.
Hadith Number: 1676
اخبرنا محمد بن عبد الله بن الجنيد ، قال: حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد ، قال: حدثنا يزيد بن زريع ، عن خالد الحذاء ، عن ابي قلابة ، عن انس : ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم" امر بلالا ان يشفع الاذان ويوتر الإقامة" .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Messenger of Allah ordered Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) to say the words of the adhan in even numbers and the words of the iqamah in odd numbers.
