Chapter on the Manner of Prayer – Clarification that the best prayer is the one with prolonged standing
Hadith Number: 1758
اخبرنا ابو خليفة ، حدثنا محمد بن كثير العبدي ، اخبرنا سفيان الثوري ، عن الاعمش ، عن ابي سفيان ، عن جابر ، قال: جاء رجل إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: يا رسول الله، اي الصلاة افضل؟ قال:" طول القنوت" .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). He asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), which prayer has the most virtue? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The one with the longest standing (Qunoot).
