باب صفة الصلاة - ذكر الزجر عن ترك قراءة فاتحة الكتاب للمصلي في صلاته مأموما كان أو إماما أو منفردا
Chapter on the Manner of Prayer – Prohibition of omitting Al-Fatiha for anyone in prayer, whether imam, follower, or praying alone
Hadith Number: 1794
اخبرنا محمد بن إسحاق بن خزيمة ، قال: حدثنا محمد بن يحيى الذهلي ، قال: حدثنا وهب بن جرير ، قال: حدثنا شعبة ، عن العلاء بن عبد الرحمن ، عن ابيه ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " لا تجزئ صلاة لا يقرا فيها بفاتحة الكتاب". قلت: فإن كنت خلف الإمام؟ قال: فاخذ بيدي، وقال:" اقرا في نفسك" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The prayer is not valid in which Surah Al-Fatihah is not recited." The narrator says (I said to Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him): If I am behind the Imam, so he took my hand and said: You should recite it in your heart.
