Chapter on the Manner of Prayer – On what the worshipper should do when standing if not reciting Al-Fatiha
Hadith Number: 1808
اخبرنا الفضل بن الحباب ، قال: حدثنا إبراهيم بن بشار ، قال: حدثنا سفيان ، عن مسعر بن كدام ، ويزيد ابي خالد ، عن إبراهيم بن إسماعيل السكسكي ، عن ابن ابي اوفى ، ان رجلا قال: يا رسول الله، علمني شيئا يجزئني عن القرآن؟ قال: " قل: سبحان الله، والحمد لله، ولا إله إلا الله، والله اكبر" قال سفيان: اراه قال: ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله" . قال ابو حاتم: يزيد ابو خالد: هو يزيد بن عبد الرحمن الدالاني ابو خالد.
Sayyiduna Ibn Abu Awani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man submitted, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), teach me something that will suffice me in place of the recitation of the Qur'an." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Say this." «سبحان الله والحمدلله ولا اله الا الله والله اكبر» Sufyan, the narrator, says: "I think these words are also in the narration:" «ولا حول ولا قوة الا بالله» . (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The narrator named Yazid Abu Khalid is Yazid bin Abdur Rahman Dalani Abu Khalid.
