Chapter on the Manner of Prayer – Command to say“Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, La ilaha illallah, Allahu Akbar”in prayer for those unable to recite Al-Fatiha
Hadith Number: 1809
اخبرنا احمد بن علي بن المثنى ، قال: حدثنا محمد بن ابي بكر المقدمي ، قال: حدثنا عمر بن علي ، عن مسعر ، عن إبراهيم السكسكي ، عن ابن ابي اوفى ، قال: جاء رجل إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: إني لا احسن من القرآن شيئا، فعلمني شيئا يجزئني منه. فقال: " قل: سبحان الله، والحمد لله، ولا إله إلا الله، والله اكبر". قال: هذا لربي، فما لي؟ قال:" قل اللهم اغفر لي، وارحمني، وارزقني، وعافني" .
Sayyiduna Ibn Abu Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I cannot recite the Qur'an properly, so teach me something that will suffice for me in its place. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recite this. «سبحان الله والحمدللہ واللہ اکبر» . The man said: This is for my Lord (as praise for Him), what will be for me? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recite this: "O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, grant me sustenance, and grant me well-being."
