Chapter on the Manner of Prayer – Encouragement to supplicate in prostration due to closeness to Allah
Hadith Number: 1928
اخبرنا ابو يعلى ، حدثنا احمد بن عيسى المصري ، حدثنا ابن وهب ، اخبرني عمرو بن الحارث ، عن عمارة بن غزية ، عن سمي ، عن ابي صالح ، عن ابي هريرة ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:" إن اقرب ما يكون العبد من ربه وهو ساجد، فاكثروا الدعاء" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "A servant is closest to his Lord when he is in the state of prostration, so make abundant supplication (du'a) during this state."
