Chapter on the Manner of Prayer – Description of the glorification said in prostration
Hadith Number: 1930
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، قال: حدثنا صفوان بن صالح ، قال: حدثنا الوليد بن مسلم ، قال: حدثنا شيبان بن عبد الرحمن ، عن منصور ، عن ابي الضحى ، عن مسروق ، عن عائشة ، قالت: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يكثر ان يقول في سجوده:" سبحانك ربنا وبحمدك، اللهم اغفر لي" . قالت: فكان يتاول القرآن.
Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to frequently recite these words during prostration: "Glory is to You, our Lord, and all praise is for You. O Allah! Forgive me." Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to act upon the command of the Qur'an.
