Chapter on the Manner of Prayer – Permissibility of asking Allah for forgiveness in prostration
Hadith Number: 1931
اخبرنا محمد بن إسحاق بن خزيمة ، قال: حدثنا يونس بن عبد الاعلى ، قال: حدثنا ابن وهب ، قال: حدثني يحيى بن ايوب ، عن عمارة بن غزية ، عن سمي ، عن ابي صالح ، عن ابي هريرة ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يقول في سجوده:" اللهم اغفر لي ذنبي كله، دقه وجله، واوله وآخره، وعلانيته وسره" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite this in prostration: "O Allah! Forgive all my sins, those that are hidden and those that are apparent, those committed earlier and those committed later, those done openly and those done secretly."
