Hadith Number: 2080
اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد الازدي ، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم ، قال: اخبرنا عبدة بن سليمان ، عن عبيد الله بن عمر ، عن نافع ، عن ابن عمر ، انه اذن بضجنان في ليلة باردة، وقال لاصحابه: صلوا في رحالكم، فإن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان: " يامر المؤذن يؤذن في الليلة المطيرة او الباردة، ويامر اصحابه ان صلوا في رحالكم" .
Nafi' reports about Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them): On a cold night, he gave the call to prayer at the place of Dajnan and said to his companions: "You should perform the prayer at your residence, because the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to instruct his muezzin to give the call to prayer on a rainy night or a cold night, and he would instruct his companions: 'You should perform the prayer at your residence.'"
