Chapter on the Obligation of Congregation and Excuses Permitting Its Omission - Clarification that light rain is treated the same as heavy, harmful rain
Hadith Number: 2083
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، قال: حدثنا حبان بن موسى ، قال: اخبرنا عبد الله ، عن شعبة ، عن قتادة ، عن ابي المليح ، عن ابيه ، قال: كنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم زمن الحديبية، فاصابنا سماء لم تبل اسافل نعالنا، فامر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم مناديه:" ان صلوا في رحالكم" .
Abu Mulaikh narrates from his father: On the occasion of Hudaybiyyah, we were with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). There, it rained, but it was so little that even the soles of our shoes did not get completely wet. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ordered his announcer to proclaim: "Perform the prayer at your place of residence."
