Chapter on the Obligation to Follow the Imam – Report Refuting the Claim that This Hadith is Unique to Hilal ibn Yasaf
Hadith Number: 2201
اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد ، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم ، قال: اخبرنا وكيع ، قال: حدثنا يزيد بن زياد بن ابي الجعد ، عن عمه عبيد بن ابي الجعد ، عن ابيه زياد بن ابي الجعد ، عن وابصة بن معبد :" ان رجلا صلى خلف الصف وحده، فامره النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ان يعيد الصلاة" .
Sayyiduna Wabisah bin Ma’bad (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man performed prayer standing alone behind the row, so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered him to repeat the prayer.
