Chapter on the Obligation to Follow the Imam – Description of a Woman’s Position Behind the Row
Hadith Number: 2204
اخبرنا محمد بن عبد الرحمن الدغولي ، قال: حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن بشر بن الحكم ، قال: حدثنا الحجاج بن محمد ، قال: قال ابن جريج اخبرني زياد بن سعد ، ان قزعة ، مولى لعبد القيس اخبره،،انه سمع عكرمة ، يقول: قال ابن عباس : " صليت إلى جنب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وعائشة خلفنا تصلي معنا، وانا إلى جنب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم اصلي معه" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I performed prayer standing beside the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) kept performing prayer standing behind us, and I kept performing prayer standing beside the Prophet (peace be upon him), following his lead.
