Chapter on What is Disliked and Not Disliked – Report That May Clarify the Ambiguity in Ibn al-Mubarak’s Report
Hadith Number: 2246
اخبرنا ابو خليفة ، قال: حدثنا مسدد بن مسرهد ، عن يحيى القطان ، عن إسماعيل بن ابي خالد ، قال: حدثني الحارث بن شبيل، عن ابي عمرو الشيباني ، عن زيد بن ارقم ، قال:" كان الرجل يكلم صاحبه في الصلاة بالحاجة على عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، حتى نزلت: حافظوا على الصلوات سورة البقرة آية 238" الآية .
Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: In the blessed time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), previously a person would converse with his companion during prayer regarding some of his work, until this verse was revealed: "Guard strictly the prayers."
