Chapter on What is Disliked and Not Disliked – Prohibition of Occupying a Spot in the Mosque for Non-Prayer Purposes
Hadith Number: 2278
اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد الازدي ، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم الحنظلي ، قال: اخبرنا عثمان بن عمر ، قال: حدثنا ابن ابي ذئب ، عن سعيد بن ابي سعيد ، عن سعيد بن يسار ، عن ابي هريرة ، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " لا يوطن الرجل المسجد للصلاة او لذكر الله إلا تبشبش الله به كما يتبشبش اهل الغائب إذا قدم عليهم غائبهم" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "When a person stays in the mosque to perform prayer or to remember Allah, Allah becomes as pleased with him as the family of a person who had been absent for a long time becomes pleased upon his return."
