Chapter on What is Disliked and Not Disliked – Command to Drape the Garment Over the Shoulder When Praying in One Garment
Hadith Number: 2303
اخبرنا ابن سلم ، حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن إبراهيم ، حدثنا الوليد بن مسلم ، حدثنا الاوزاعي ، عن الزهري ، عن سعيد بن المسيب، عن ابي هريرة ، قال: قال رجل: يا رسول الله، ايصلي الرجل في الثوب الواحد؟ فقال: " ليتوشح به، ثم ليصل فيه" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Can a person perform prayer in a single garment? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He should wrap it around himself like a sheikh and then perform prayer in it.
