Section on voluntary prayers – mentioning the Prophet’s regular observance of the two rak’ahs before Fajr
Hadith Number: 2463
اخبرنا ابو خليفة ، قال: حدثنا علي بن المديني ، قال: حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد ، قال: حدثنا ابن جريج ، قال: اخبرني عطاء ، عن عبيد بن عمير ، عن عائشة " ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لم يكن على شيء من النوافل اشد معاهدة منه على الركعتين قبل الصبح" .
Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) did not observe any voluntary prayer with as much regularity as he observed the Sunnah prayers of Fajr.
