Section on prayer on a riding animal – mentioning the description of bowing and prostration for one praying voluntarily on his mount
Hadith Number: 2522
اخبرنا ابن سلم ، قال: حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن إبراهيم ، قال: حدثنا الوليد ، عن ابن نمر ، عن الزهري ، عن سالم ، عن ابيه ، قال:" رايت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يصلي على دابته في السفر في السبحة يومئ براسه إيماء" .
Salim narrates from his father (Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar) that I saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) performing voluntary prayers on his mount during travel, and he was indicating (bowing and prostrating) with the movement of his head.
