Chapter on Prostration of Recitation - Recommendation to prostrate when hearing Quran recitation
Hadith Number: 2760
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، قال: حدثنا احمد بن عبدة ، قال: حدثنا فضيل بن سليمان ، قال: حدثنا عبيد الله بن عمر ، عن نافع ، عن ابن عمر ، قال:" كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقرا القرآن، فياتي على السجدة فيسجد، ونسجد معه لسجوده" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: Whenever the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would recite the Qur'an and reach a verse of prostration, he would perform the prostration of recitation, and we would also perform the prostration along with him.
