Friday Prayer - What the Prophet (peace be upon him) said during his sitting between the two sermons
Hadith Number: 2803
اخبرنا الحسين بن عبد الله بن يزيد القطان ، قال: حدثنا ايوب بن محمد الوزان ، قال: حدثنا عيسى بن يونس ، قال: حدثنا ابن ابي زائدة ، عن سماك بن حرب ، عن جابر بن سمرة ، قال:" كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يخطب على المنبر، ثم يجلس، ثم يقوم فيخطب، فيجلس بين الخطبتين يقرا من كتاب الله، ويذكر الناس" .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to deliver a sermon on the pulpit, then he would sit down, then stand up and deliver a sermon again. He would sit between the two sermons. During the sermon, he would recite verses from the Book of Allah and admonish and advise the people.
