Friday Prayer - Clarification that one may express emotion during admonition
Hadith Number: 2804
اخبرنا محمد بن إسحاق الثقفي ، حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد ، حدثنا جرير بن عبد الحميد ، عن الاعمش ، عن عمرو بن مرة ، عن خيثمة ، عن عدي بن حاتم ، قال: قام النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال:" اتقوا النار"، ثم اعرض واشاح قال: ثم قال:" اتقوا النار"، ثم اعرض واشاح حتى راينا انه يراها، ثم قال: " اتقوا النار ولو بشق تمرة، فإن لم تجدوا، فبكلمة طيبة" .
Sayyiduna ‘Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and said: Strive to save yourselves from Hell. Then he turned his face away and tried to protect himself. Then he said: Save yourselves from Hell. Then he turned his face away and tried to protect himself, until it seemed to us as if he was seeing it. And he said: Strive to save yourselves from Hell, even if it is with half a date. If you do not find that, then with a pure word (strive to save yourselves from Hell).
