Patience and Reward for Illness and Afflictions - Command to be patient when afflicted with worldly calamities
Hadith Number: 2895
اخبرنا عمران بن موسى بن مجاشع ، قال: حدثنا الحسن بن حماد سجادة ، قال: حدثنا إبراهيم بن عيينة ، عن شعبة ، عن ثابت، عن انس ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، مر بامراة عند قبر تبكي، فقال:" يا هذه، اصبري"، فقالت: إنك لا تدري ما مصابي، فقيل لها بعد ذلك: هذا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فاتته، فقالت: لم اعرفك .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a woman who was sitting by a grave and weeping. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O woman! Be patient. She said: You do not know what calamity has befallen me. Later, it was told to her that he was the Messenger of Allah. The woman then came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I did not recognize you.
