Patience and Reward for Illness and Afflictions - Denial of grave punishment for those who die suddenly
Hadith Number: 2933
اخبرنا الفضل بن الحباب ، قال: حدثنا ابو الوليد ، والحوضي ، قالا: حدثنا شعبة ، عن جامع بن شداد ، قال: سمعت عبد الله بن يسار ، عن سليمان بن صرد ، وخالد بن عرفطة ، انهما بلغهما ان رجلا مات ببطن، فقال احدهما: الم يبلغكم ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " من قتله بطنه لم يعذب في قبره" ، قال الآخر: صدقت، وقال الحوضي: بلى.
Sulaiman bin Surad and Khalid bin Urfutah narrate: They came to know that a person had died due to an illness. So one of them said: Have you people not heard that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever dies due to a stomach illness will not be punished in the grave." The other person said: You have spoken the truth. Then the narrator named Hawzi said: Yes.
