كِتَابُ الجَنَائِزِ وَمَا يَتَعَلَّقُ بِهَا مُقَدَّمًا أَوْ مُؤَخَّرًا

فصل في حمل الجنازة وقولها - ذكر ما يستحب للمرء إذا شهد جنازة أن يكون مشيه معها قدامها
Section on carrying the bier and its statements – Recommendation to walk in front of the bier during the funeral
Hadith Number: 3045
اخبرنا حامد بن محمد بن شعيب البلخي ، قال: حدثنا سريج بن يونس ، قال: حدثنا سفيان ، عن الزهري ، عن سالم ، عن ابيه" انه راى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وابا بكر، وعمر رضوان الله عليهما يمشون امام الجنازة" .
Salim narrates from his father (Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both): He saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) walking in front of the funeral procession.
