كِتَابُ الجَنَائِزِ وَمَا يَتَعَلَّقُ بِهَا مُقَدَّمًا أَوْ مُؤَخَّرًا

فصل في القيام للجنازة - ذكر البيان بأن الأمر إنما أمر المرء به إلى أن تخلفه الجنازة أو توضع
Section on standing for the funeral – Clarifying that the instruction is to stand until the bier passes or is placed down
Hadith Number: 3051
اخبرنا الفضل بن الحباب الجمحي ، قال: حدثنا إبراهيم بن بشار الرمادي ، قال: حدثنا سفيان ، قال: حدثنا الزهري ، عن سالم، عن ابيه ، عن عامر بن ربيعة ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " إذا رايتم الجنازة، فقوموا حتى تخلفكم او توضع" .
Sayyiduna Amir bin Rabi’ah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him):“When you see a funeral procession, stand up until it passes by or it is placed (on the ground).”
