باب الصلاة في الكعبة - ذكر البيان بأن عمر سمع استعمال المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم ما وصفنا من بلال
Chapter on prayer inside the Kaaba – Clarifying that Umar heard about the Prophet’s prayer from Bilal
Hadith Number: 3202
اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد بن سلم ، قال: حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن إبراهيم ، قال: حدثنا عمر بن عبد الواحد ، عن الاوزاعي ، قال: حدثني حسان بن عطية ، قال: حدثنا نافع ، عن ابن عمر ، قال: دخل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يوم الفتح الكعبة ومعه بلال، وعثمان بن طلحة، فاغلقوا عليهم الباب من داخل، فلما خرجوا، سالت بلالا ، قلت: اين صلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم؟ قال: رايته " صلى على وجهه حين دخل بين العمودين عن يمينه" ، ثم لمت نفسي ان لا اكون سالته كم صلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: On the occasion of the conquest of Makkah, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the Ka'bah. Along with him were Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Uthman bin Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him). These gentlemen closed the door for those who had entered. When these gentlemen came out, I asked Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him): I said, "Where did the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) perform the prayer?" He replied: "I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), after entering, facing the front and performing the prayer between the two pillars on the right side." (Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates:) Then I reproached myself for not asking Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) how many rak'ahs the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had performed.
