Voluntary Charity – Clarifying That the Best Charity is Given from Surplus Wealth
Hadith Number: 3345
اخبرنا عبد الله بن احمد بن موسى بن عبدان ، بعسكر مكرم، حدثنا محمد بن معمر البحراني ، حدثنا ابو عاصم ، عن ابن جريج، اخبرني ابو الزبير ، انه سمع جابر بن عبد الله ، يقول: قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: " افضل الصدقة ما كان عن ظهر غنى، وابدا بمن تعول" .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best charity is that which is given when one is in a state of prosperity, and you should begin with those who are under your care."
