- باب حرمة المناكحة - ذكر الزجر عن أن تنكح الصغرى بما ذكرنا على الكبرى منهن أو الكبرى على الصغرى منهن
Chapter: Prohibited marriages – Forbidding marrying the younger over the elder or vice versa as described
Hadith Number: 4118
اخبرنا ابو يعلى ، قال: حدثنا زكريا بن يحيى الواسطي ، قال: حدثنا هشيم ، عن داود ، عن الشعبي ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال:" نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ان تنكح المراة على عمتها، وعلى خالتها، وعلى بنت اخيها، وعلى بنت اختها، ونهى ان تنكح الكبرى على الصغرى، والصغرى على الكبرى" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade marrying a woman together with her paternal aunt, or her maternal aunt, or her niece (brother’s daughter), or her niece (sister’s daughter). The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) also forbade marrying the younger (sister) together with the elder, or the elder together with the younger.
