Book of Oaths
ذكر التغليظ على من حلف كاذبا بالملل التي هي غير الإسلام-
Severe warning for one who lies under oath by religions other than Islam
Hadith Number: 4367
اخبرنا ابن سلم ، قال: حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن إبراهيم ، قال: حدثنا الوليد بن مسلم ، قال: حدثنا الاوزاعي ، عن يحيى بن ابي كثير ، عن ابي قلابة ، عن ثابت بن الضحاك ، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " من حلف بملة سوى الإسلام كاذبا فهو كما قال، ومن قتل نفسه بشيء في الدنيا عذب به يوم القيامة" .
Sayyiduna Thabit bin Dhahak (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Whoever swears a false oath by a religion other than Islam, he will be as he has stated; and whoever commits suicide with anything in this world, he will be punished with that very thing on the Day of Resurrection."
