Chapter on the Virtue of Martyrdom - On Allah making the soul of the martyr a bird in Paradise until resurrection
Hadith Number: 4657
اخبرنا محمد بن الحسن بن قتيبة ، حدثنا يزيد بن موهب ، حدثنا الليث ، عن ابن شهاب ، عن عبد الرحمن بن كعب بن مالك ، عن ابيه ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " نسمة المؤمن طائر يعلق في شجر الجنة حتى يردها الله إلى جسده يوم القيامة" .
Abdur Rahman bin Ka'b bin Malik narrates from his father: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The soul of the believer remains attached to a tree in Paradise until Allah, the Exalted, returns it to its body on the Day of Resurrection."
