Chapter on Setting Out and the Manner of Jihad – On the distinguishing mark between captives and others when captured.
Hadith Number: 4780
اخبرنا محمد بن عبد الله بن الجنيد ، قال: حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد ، قال: حدثنا هشيم ، عن عبد الملك بن عمير ، عن عطية القرظي، قال: " عرضت على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يوم قريظة، فشكوا في، فقيل لي: هل انبت، ففتشوني، فوجدوني لم انبت، فخلي سبيلي" .
Sayyiduna Atiyyah Qarazi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: On the occasion of the Battle of Qurayzah, I was presented before the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The people doubted about me (whether I had reached puberty or not), so I was asked: "Have your pubic hairs grown?" The people searched me and found that my pubic hairs had not grown, so I was released.
