باب الغلول - ذكر الزجر عن أن يغل المرء في سبيل الله شيئا وإن كان ذلك تافها-
Chapter on Embezzlement – On the prohibition of embezzling anything in God’s cause, even if trivial.
Hadith Number: 4847
اخبرنا احمد بن علي بن المثنى ، قال: حدثنا ابو خيثمة ، قال: حدثنا جرير ، عن عمارة بن القعقاع ، عن ابي زرعة ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " لا الفين احدكم يجيء يوم القيامة على رقبته بعير له رغاء، يقول: يا رسول الله، اقول: لا املك لك من الله شيئا قد ابلغتك، لا الفين احدكم يجيء يوم القيامة على رقبته شاة لها يعار، يقول: يا رسول الله، اقول: لا املك لك من الله شيئا قد ابلغتك، لا الفين احدكم يجيء يوم القيامة على رقبته فرس له حمحمة، يقول: يا رسول الله، اقول: لا املك لك من الله شيئا قد ابلغتك، لا الفين احدكم يجيء يوم القيامة على رقبته نفس لها صياح، يقول: يا رسول الله، اقول: لا املك لك من الله شيئا قد ابلغتك، لا الفين احدكم يجيء يوم القيامة على رقبته صامت، يقول: يا رسول الله، اقول: لا املك لك من الله شيئا، لا الفين احدكم يجيء يوم القيامة على رقبته رقاع تخفق، يقول: يا رسول الله، اقول: لا املك لك من الله شيئا قد ابلغتك" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I should not find any one of you in such a state that when he comes on the Day of Resurrection, there is a camel on his neck making noise, and that person says: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! (Help me), and I will say: I cannot do anything for you against the decision of Allah Almighty; I had conveyed (the message) to you. I should never find any one of you in such a state that when he comes on the Day of Resurrection, there is a goat on his neck making noises, and that person says: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! (Help me), and I will say: I cannot do anything for you against Allah Almighty; I had conveyed (the message) to you. I should never find any one of you in such a state that when he comes on the Day of Resurrection, there is a horse on his neck making noise, and that person says: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! (Help me), and I will say: I cannot do anything for you against the decision of Allah Almighty; I had conveyed (the message) to you. I should never find any one of you in such a state that when he comes on the Day of Resurrection, there are pieces of cloth (i.e., patches of cloth, etc.) on his neck, and that person says: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! (Help me), and I will say: I cannot do anything for you against the decision of Allah Almighty; I had conveyed (the message) to you."
