Book of Sales
باب البيع المنهي عنه - ذكر الخبر الدال على أن بيع الخنازير والكلاب محرم ولا يجوز استعماله-
Chapter: Forbidden sales - Report indicating that selling pigs and dogs is forbidden and their use is not allowed
Hadith Number: 4938
اخبرنا ابو خليفة ، حدثنا مسدد بن مسرهد ، حدثنا يزيد بن زريع ، حدثنا خالد الحذاء ، عن بركة ابي الوليد ، عن ابن عباس ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم نظر إلى السماء، وقال: " قاتل الله اليهود، حرمت عليهم الشحوم فباعوها واكلوا اثمانها، وإن الله إذا حرم شيئا حرم ثمنه" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) looked towards the sky and then said: "May Allah destroy the Jews; fat was made unlawful for them, so they sold it and began to consume its price. Indeed, when Allah declares something unlawful, He also declares its price unlawful."
