Table Manners – Permissibility of eating or drinking while standing
Hadith Number: 5243
اخبرنا الفضل بن الحباب ، قال: حدثنا مسدد ، قال: حدثنا بشر بن المفضل ، قال: حدثنا عمران بن حدير ، عن ابي البزري يزيد بن عطارد ، عن ابن عمر ، قال: " كنا نشرب على عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ونحن قيام، وناكل ونحن نسعى" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: In the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), we used to drink while standing and would eat something while running.
