Instruction to Care for Hair and Clean Clothes as Cleanliness Is Part of Faith
Hadith Number: 5483
اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد بن سلم ، حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن إبراهيم ، قال: حدثنا الوليد بن مسلم ، قال: حدثنا الاوزاعي ، قال: حدثني حسان بن عطية ، عن محمد بن المنكدر ، عن جابر ، قال: اتانا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم زائرا في منزلنا، فراى رجلا شعثا، فقال: " اما كان هذا يجد ما يسكن به شعره، وراى رجلا عليه ثياب وسخة، فقال: اما كان هذا يجد ما يغسل به ثوبه" .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) came to our house to visit us. He saw a man with disheveled hair, so he asked: Does he not find something with which he can arrange his hair? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man wearing dirty clothes. He asked: Does he not find something with which he can wash his clothes?
