ذكر الزجر عن إكثار المرء في الحلي والحرير على أهله-
Prohibition of Excessive Jewelry and Silk for One's Family
Hadith Number: 5486
اخبرنا ابن سلم ، قال: حدثنا حرملة بن يحيى ، قال: حدثنا ابن وهب ، قال: اخبرني عمرو بن الحارث ، ان ابا عشانة المعافري، حدثه انه سمع عقبة بن عامر الجهني ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يمنع اهله الحلية والحرير، ويقول: " إن كنتم تحبون حلية الجنة وحريرها، فلا تلبسوها في الدنيا" ، قال الشيخ: ابو عشانة: اسمه حي بن يومن.
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) forbade his family from using jewelry and silk. He used to say: If you like the jewelry and silk of Paradise, then do not wear them in this world.
The Sheikh (i.e., Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him) says: The narrator named Abu Ashanah is Hayy bin Yawman.
