Chapter on Etiquette of Sleep - What to Say When Lying Down to Sleep
Hadith Number: 5522
اخبرنا حامد بن محمد بن شعيب البلخي ، قال: حدثنا منصور بن ابي مزاحم ، قال: اخبرنا ابو الاحوص ، عن ابي إسحاق ، عن البراء ، قال: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا اخذ مضجعه، وضع يده اليمنى تحت خده الايمن، ثم قال: " اللهم قني عذابك، يوم تبعث عبادك" .
Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would lie down on his bed, he would place his right blessed hand under his right blessed cheek and would recite:“O Allah, save me from Your punishment on the day when You will resurrect Your servants.”
