Furwah bin Nawfal narrates from his father: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) asked, "Are you interested in (the upbringing and education of) our stepdaughter so that Zainab may take care of her?" The narrator states: Then he presented himself before the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) inquired from him (about the girl), so he replied, "I have left her with her mother." The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked, "Then for what purpose have you come?" He replied, "I have come so that you may teach me something which I can recite at the time of sleeping." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "You should recite Surah Al-Kafirun and sleep with its concluding words; this Surah is a declaration of being free from shirk."
