Chapter on Joking and Laughing – Permissibility of using metaphors in speech if not displeasing to Allah
Hadith Number: 5800
اخبرنا الفضل بن الحباب ، قال: حدثنا مسدد بن مسرهد ، عن ابن ابي عدي ، عن سليمان التيمي ، عن انس بن مالك ، قال: كانت ام سليم مع نساء النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وسائق يسوق، فاتى عليه النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال:" يا انجشة، رويدا سوقك بالقوارير" .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) was with the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). A man was leading their camel. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to him and said: O Anjasha! Drive gently, you are carrying glass vessels.
