اخبرنا ابو يعلى ، قال: حدثنا شيبان بن فروخ ، قال: حدثنا همام بن يحيى ، قال: حدثنا عطاء بن ابي رباح ، عن صفوان بن يعلى بن امية ، عن ابيه ، قال: اتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم رجل قد عض يد رجل، فانتزع يده منه، فسقطت ثنيتا الذي عضه، قال: فابطلها النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وقال: " اردت ان تقضمه كما يقضم الفحل؟!" .
Safwan bin Ya'la narrates from his father: A man came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He had bitten another person's hand, and the other person pulled his hand away, causing the front teeth of the one who bit to break. The narrator states that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) declared it void. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Did you want him to let you chew it as a camel chews?
