Sahih Ibn Hibban
كِتَابُ إِخْبَارِهِ ﷺ عَنْ مَنَاقِبِ الصَّحَابَةِ رِجَالِهِمْ وَنِسَائِهِمْ بِذِكْرِ أَسْمَائِهِمْ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
Book of the Prophet’s ﷺ Reports on the Virtues of the Companions, Men and Women, by Name
ذكر البيان بأن الملك بشر المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم بهذا الذي وصفنا-
Hadith Number: 6960
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، حدثنا ابو بكر بن ابي شيبة ، حدثنا زيد بن الحباب ، عن إسرائيل ، عن ميسرة النهدي ، عن المنهال بن عمرو ، عن زر بن حبيش ، عن حذيفة ، قال: اتيت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فصليت معه المغرب، ثم قام يصلي حتى صلى العشاء، ثم خرج فاتبعته، فقال: " عرض لي ملك استاذن ربه ان يسلم علي، وبشرني ان الحسن والحسين سيدا شباب اهل الجنة" .
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I presented myself before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and performed prayer behind him. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up to perform prayer until he completed the ‘Isha prayer. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) departed and I followed him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: An angel came before me who had sought permission from his Lord to send salutations upon me. That angel gave me the glad tidings that Hasan and Husayn are the leaders of the youth of Paradise.
