Sahih Ibn Hibban
كِتَابُ إِخْبَارِهِ ﷺ عَنْ مَنَاقِبِ الصَّحَابَةِ رِجَالِهِمْ وَنِسَائِهِمْ بِذِكْرِ أَسْمَائِهِمْ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

ذكر عمرو بن العاص السهمي رضي الله عنه - ذكر أبي ذر الغفاري رضي الله عنه-
Hadith Number: 7132
اخبرنا الحسين بن احمد بن بسطام بالابلة ، حدثنا العباس بن عبد العظيم العنبري ، حدثنا النضر بن محمد اليمامي ، حدثنا عكرمة بن عمار ، عن ابي زميل ، عن مالك بن مرثد ، عن ابيه ، عن ابي ذر ، قال: قال لي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" ما اظلت الخضراء، ولا اقلت الغبراء على ذي لهجة اصدق منك يا ابا ذر" ، قال ابو حاتم: يشبه ان يكون هذا خطابا خرج على حسب الحال في شيء بعينه إذ محال ان يكون هذا الخطاب على عمومه، وتحت الخضراء المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم، والصديق، والفاروق رضي الله عنهما.
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: The sky has not shaded any person, nor has the earth carried any person, who is more truthful than you, O Abu Dharr! (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) There is a possibility that this statement was made in accordance with a specific and determined situation, because it is impossible that these words were used in a general sense, as under the sky were also the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him), and Sayyiduna Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him).
